Ezer Kenegdo (English)

In Genesis 2:18 Yahweh Elohim said: It is not good for man to be alone. Let's make him an appropriate companion to help him.

What did God mean by that expression? That man did not have the capacity to do things by himself and that he needed someone to direct him to do them? He had God directing his life.

Since 2017, God has taught me many things, but one of the greatest, beautiful and powerful thing that he has taught me, is to understand who I am before his eyes, I am an "ezer kenegdo". When I recognize who I am in his hands and what I was created for, then I will be able to fulfill my purpose correctly. Many times we confuse our purpose with the way God endowed us to carry out that purpose and we focus on Ephesians 4:11, when in reality, our purpose is found in the beginning, Bereshit, Genesis.

In Hebrew, the word that has been translated as a "suitable helper" is "ezer kenegdo". These two words are very difficult to translate, because there is not a word in our language that can describe these phrase to be able to understand the depth of it. The Hebrew language is rich and full of profound teachings. Thanks to the Father who is revealing his language to us to understand what he wants to tell us in his word. When God created the woman, he was thinking of a warrior who would be praying day and night for her husband making a fence around him. A woman who speaks well of her husband no matter what her eyes see. A woman who would be an unconditional support for her husband helping him to fulfill his purpose in God. A woman who would know how to honor her husband for the love of God. A woman who would fully understand what is submission to her husband and the blessing that this action represents.

During the process of learning what it is to be a woman "ezer kenegdo", I cried, I did tantrums, because my flesh was being confronted and crushed. There was a clash of cultures between the kingdom of God and this world. My ego was being dethroned so that God would enter into that area. All the old "chip" that did not work to live according to the culture of the kingdom of God, was changed. My life was being reprogrammed according to the culture of Yehovah.
